Washing in Washing Machine
Keep your rugs fresh and in excellent condition with the right settings and precautions.
Preparation
Before putting the rug in the washing machine, make sure to remove dust and surface dirt using a vacuum cleaner or by shaking the rug well. This will prevent dirt from accumulating in the washing machine filter.
How to insert the rug
Put the rug inside the washing machine leaving the top part of the design outside.
Washing Machine Settings
Use a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water (not exceeding 40°C). Choose a mild detergent free of bleach or whitening agents, to preserve the colors and materials of the rug.
Quantity of Detergent
Do not overuse detergent; a small amount will be sufficient to achieve effective cleaning without leaving residues.
Fabric softener
It is recommended not to use fabric softener.
Wool blanket in Dryer
Follow these simple tips for effective drying, whether in a dryer or air drying, and preserve the beauty of your rugs over time.
Dryer
Use a low temperature cycle.
How to insert the rug
Put the rug inside the dryer leaving the top part of the design outside.
Air Drying
If you prefer to air dry the rug, lay it flat on a surface in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
Manual Cleaning
Localized Stains
For small stains, apply a solution of warm water and a mild detergent directly to the stain. Gently blot with a clean cloth until the stain is removed. Do not rub, as you may damage the fibers.
Rinse
After cleaning the stain, rinse the area with a damp cloth to remove any soap residue, then blot dry with a dry cloth.
"Washable" Colors for Children
Our chenille microfiber rug is washable, but water-based colors declared "washable", such as tempera or watercolors, are difficult to remove. The fabric structure, similar to porous materials, allows pigments to penetrate deeply into the microfiber. For best results, we recommend treating stains immediately with warm water and mild detergents, repeating the process several times until completely removed before the color dries.
